Meet The Neustar Innovators

Neustar innovators are leaders and visionaries with specific talents and expertise to offer within their domains. These individuals work behind the scenes at Neustar and publicly in forums, organizations, and standards bodies on behalf of our customers, our industry, and Neustar to create seamless connections, frictionless innovation, reliable performance, and trusted security services.

Peter Davis  focuses on Identity issues and is deeply involved in OASIS via the SAML, Reputation, and XRI working groups. Peter is also involved in the Kantara/Liberty Alliance working groups, and follows activities in the OpenID Foundation, Open Web Foundation, and IETF, among many others. Peter presently co-chairs the XRI Technical committee, and serves on the Board of Trustees of the Kantara Initiative.

Mark Enstrom  is a former SIP Forum Board Member and is currently active in both the SIP Forum and various Smart Grid organizations.

Fridy (Sharon Fridman)  focuses on presence and messaging applications, inter-connectivity, and the mobile markets. He has been heavily involved in mobile instant messaging standardization, and is currently involved with the GSMA, the RCS initiative and the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA).

Rodney Joffe focuses on DNS and Security.  Mr. Joffe is actively engaged in a number of Internet working groups and committees, including the IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force), OARC (Operations, Analysis, and Research Center), NANOG (North American Network Operators' Group), and ARIN (American Registry for Internet Numbers). He is involved in a number of initiatives to ensure the future of the Internet and is highly visible in the ongoing fight against spam, and similar attacks on Internet infrastructure and personal privacy.

Edward Lewis  works in the area of Internet Registry operations and protocol development, including DNS protocol specification work in the IETF, DNS operations work, development and deployment of DNSSEC, chairing development of the EPP protocol.

Tom McGarry  has been involved with national Number Portability since its inception, and is a leading expert on naming, addressing, interconnection, and peering. As VP of Strategic Initiatives at Neustar, Tom also serves as a Director of ATIS.

Jon Peterson is Neustar’s resident expert on security and network routing, and has been instrumental in the development of numerous RFCs at the IETF, including the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). As such, Jon is involved in many working groups within the IETF, as well as 3GPP, the ITU, ATIS, ICANN, and many other groups.

Lenny Rachitsky  is the head of R&D at Webmetrics, and has played a key role in the evolution of the web performance monitoring space. Previously leading the engineering department at Webmetrics, he now focuses on the future direction of the performance and monitoring industry by sharing best practices, analyzing industry trends, and collaborating with members of the web performance community. He is currently working on developing new products and technologies that further enable companies to reduce downtime, optimize performance, and increase revenue.

Brian Rosen  has been heavily involved in the deployment of VoIP standards, including the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) via the SIP Forum. Brian is currently active in many IETF working groups, the National Emergency Number Association (NENA), European Emergency Number Association (EENA), the Department of Homeland Security’s Explosives Services Working Group (DHS ESWG), Packet Cable Working Groups, and ad hoc groups focusing on the White Space Database initiative.

James Yu  is an expert on mobile network architecture, mobile application part (MAP) protocols, mobile messaging, Signaling System No. 7 (SS7), number portability and ENUM (telephone number mapping). He currently focuses on mobile applications and the use of television whitespaces, and is very involved in the OMA Mobile Code (MC) and IEEE groups dealing with whitespaces and spectrum sharing/management.
